The time has come for our annual No Contracts Needed Rompetition and the huge show at the Regent Theater on March 19th that the winner gets to play.

No Contracts Needed is about seeing new bands as they break into the fold, hearing new music as it takes its sound to another level, and experiencing musicians with an attitude for the future.

NCN is an eight show music series. The premiere concert is held in a large theatre and showcases upcoming local talent. This year the show will be headlined by Destroy Babylon and supported by Sour D, Buffalo Soul, and Travel Info. The other seven NCN related shows are part of the NCN Rompetition, which is a two round battle of the bands. The winning band from the Rompetition is crowned champion and plays the opening set of the premiere NCN theatre show. Past winners were Ubiquitous (Lexington, MA) and Traces David (Manchester, NH).

No Contracts Needed's theatre-sized local concert that amplifies a new perception of seeing local bands. NCN promotes independent talent within Massachusetts to music scenes enthusiasts that are looking for the most visually enhanced way to see local, independent bands play their hearts out. Boston has a long history of developing great, lasting local talent and this is the way to see the next Aerosmith, The Cars, Aimee Mann or Letters to Cleo before they are signed and on MTV.
